Our doctors have worked in the field of Sports and Exercise Medicine for many years, including at the elite level.
They have experience in caring for Australian athletes at Olympic, Commonwealth and World Cup level. They are also involved with AFL clubs, the Australian Open Tennis, Little Athletics Victoria as well as the Victorian Jockey Association.
However, you don’t need to be an athlete to use our services. We offer the same high standard of care, assessment and management for all patients regardless of age or level of activity, sporting or otherwise.
Due to an extensive network of close relationships with other specialists we can arrange diagnostic imaging and specialist referral as appropriate.
Dr Peter Larkins is one of Australia’s most senior specialist sports physicians and established the first solo private sports physician practice in Australia in 1979.
Gary has a long association with AFL football having previously been club Doctor at Essendon and Richmond Football Clubs and currently Sports Physician at the Western Bulldogs Football Club where he has worked for the last 26 years.

Patrick has extensive sports medicine experience working with several different teams. He is the current Chief Medical Officer at Essendon Football Club in the AFL. He also works at the Victorian Institute of Sport.
Dr Brett Frenkiel works full time in Sport and Exercise Medicine and has a passion for treating all musculoskeletal injuries.
